On 22 July 2020 we were notified per e-mail that our bid package for the project “Supply of LED Smart Ready Lamps for Public Street Lights” was evaluated as substantially responsive. For the completion of the evaluation process we were requested to send samples of the lamps offered.
On 6 August 2020 we sent the following 8 samples in housing colors gray and white by airfreight to NV EBS:
- For category 1 (main/primary roads) ==> 120W, color: 4000K/5000K
- For category 2 (secondary/connection roads) ==> 70W, color: 4000K/5000K
- For category 3 (third not busy (sandy or paved) roads) ==> 40W/50W, color: 4000K/5000K
As part of our QC process we checked the samples received from our manufacturer and the session was recorded. As we think this video can be useful for NV EBS as a quick install/test guide we are sharing it here.
Also in order to assist the client to get the most out of the evaluation process we anticipated on one of the most important (simulation) tests for calculation and simulation with the software package DIALUX.
On 10 August 2020 we received input from NV EBS as per our template. Hence we were able to run the simulation. The very positive result of the simulation has been shared with the evaluation team. The result of this test shows the luminaire characteristics in several scenarios such as intended heights, angles, distance between poles, profile, etc. Eventually the client will be able to get the most optimum installation settings for the streetlights and the street profile.
